Farbod Hanachi
Farbod Hanachi is an Iranian composer, santour player and pianist based in Vienna. His work brings together Persian musical traditions, contemporary santour playing and Western classical music.

A practice shaped over time
He began studying the santour at the age of nine with Hamoun Bahrami Moghadam, before continuing his training over several years with Ardavan Kamkar.

Piano, composition & orchestration
Alongside the santour, Farbod has studied classical piano with Siavash Damirian and piano performance at the Richard Wagner Conservatory in Vienna. His musical practice also encompasses composition, orchestration and music theory.

Floating Shadows
In 2022, he released his debut album, Floating Shadows, in collaboration with Hamoun Bahrami Moghadam. His compositions include music for solo santour and percussion instruments.
